terms & conditions

  1. These terms and conditions are known as the ‘Rules.’ The Rules apply to The Story of Your Stuff competition, and by entering the competition, you agree to be bound by the Rules.
  2. The Story Of Your Stuff competition is open to secondary school students under the age of 18 who are attending school in the Republic of Ireland and who are residents of the Republic of Ireland
  3. Only one entry per person or group.
  4. The competition is not open to employees of the EPA or their families, their agents, or anyone professionally associated with the competition.
  5. The winning entry will receive a €500 cash prize and their school will receive a €500 donation and a talk from Easkey Britton. The prize cannot be exchanged.
  6. The closing date for the competition is Friday, 13 April 2018 at 5p.m.
  7. The prize is subject to availability and in the event of circumstances outside of its control, we reserve the right to substitute similar or alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
  8. To enter The Story of Your Stuff competition, entrants must communicate the story/lifecycle of an object through visual means.
  9. If your entry is a video, please note that the maximum filesize should be 200MB and the video should be in .mp4, .mov or .wmv format.
  10. If your entry includes music, the entrant is responsible to ensure that they have full permission to use the music. It is illegal to use copyrighted music in your videos.
  11. All entries should use the following file naming convention: tsoys_yourentryname
  12. Upon submission, entries will be reviewed by the judging panel. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. Entries that are incomplete or those that are not in accordance with all the entry instructions will be invalid.
  14. The EPA reserve the right to disqualify an entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Rules have been compromised
  15. By entering this competition, you agree that The EPA and or/their agents have the right to use your entry for any promotional purpose. You confirm that your entry is an original work that you own. The winner may be required to take part in publicity resulting from this competition
  16. The EPA reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
